Josh Blake's Jukebox is the main live vehicle for Josh's songwriting. Named "The JukeBox" for the wide array of musical styles represented, this band of highly skilled musicans can ingnite any audience with a blend of funk, rock, hip-hop and reggae. Performing shows all over the map since 1997, this funk/hip-hop outfit has consistently torn the roof off of venues from coast to coast leaving, nothing but good times in it's wake. This one of a kind traveling party has dozens of albums within it's collective, and a pedigree earned from exciting crowds across the country for years. Funk Jam House Band
The Tuesday Night Funk Jam is a weekly show that has been going on in Asheville for 7 years now. "The House Band" which hosts the evening includes some of Asheville's heaviest hitters with Jeff Knoor, Jamar Woods, and Mary Frances on keys, Ben Bjorlie on bass, Lee Allen on drums, Derrick Johnson on Trombone and Josh Blake on guitar. Their high energey brand of funk, plus an array of local talent that shares the stage keeps the people coming back to The Asheville Music Hall in droves on a Tuesday evening. The House Band does play special events and parties, so if you want this high energy brand of funk at your next shindig, get in touch with Josh and he'll set it up for you.
